Vic Hattery Updates

I think this will be the last vic hat update for a little while - I'm going to set it aside for a while so I can get working on other projects.

I made a bunch of small, gold, ribbon rosetttes:


So, I ripped off the red velvet ribbon over the stitching line on the gathered gold ribbon at the brim - I need to figure out exactly what I'm going to do to cover up those ugly stitches. Here is the best view of what is going on with the gathers - basically I tacked a short tube underneath the gathered ribbon, then ran gathering stitches at the opposite end, and then pulled the gathers tight.

What do you do when you get a scroll comission the night before an event....

....you panic a bit, and then do a tineh scroll! (I actually knew about this scroll, and it was originally meant for Quest - in a few months...the date was changed last-minute to be given out at Crown yesterday)

I was very happy to do a scroll for Astrid - she's a super awesome lady!

I bit blurry, but here's the painting done: (I'm not terribly happy witht he final product, so I'm probably going to steal back the scroll for a while so I can continue to work on it.) For scale, my thumb is on the left side....the whole scroll is slightly larger than my hand)
